Marriage Tune-up

2023-1-24 | Jill Smith

Whether you’ve been married a short time or many years, there’s always room to learn something new as a couple - especially in the area of communication. You probably do routine maintenance on your car to keep it running as smoothly as possible – change the oil, make sure the tire pressures are good, or figure out why the check engine light is on. Sometimes there is a funny noise that needs to be investigated. Just like your car needs maintenance, so does your marriage. The ECC MOPS/MOMSnext group along with the Men’s ministries are excitedly planning a night where you can learn some small changes that could have a big impact on your marriage.

If you’re ready for some routine maintenance regarding the ways that you communicate during disagreements in your marriage, make plans to join us for dinner and a little marriage tune up on February 4 from 6-8 pm in the Great Room. Dinner and childcare for kids through age 10 will be provided. Dinner will be $15 per couple. Childcare will be $5 per child and will also include dinner. This will be a fun and engaging night as we watch a video of Casey and Meygan Caston with Marriage365. They were perfect examples of what not to do in marriage but began reading and educating themselves on how to do marriage the right way and found hope that there was a better way than divorce – they could love each other again! We will learn some new communication techniques including fighting triggers and the five do’s and don’ts of fighting fair. Come get your marriage running more smoothly!

Sign up to let us know you’re coming by January 31.
